4 week virtual series with Sandra
Tuesdays 3-4pm (CST) starting March 30th
Join Sandra for a yoga and mindfulness series specifically designed for youth ages 13-17.
Uncertain and unprecedented times, remote schooling and lack of social opportunities has serious effects on well being and social-emotional development of today’s young people. It can leave everyone—especially teenagers—feeling disembodied, disconnected, and powerless, sometimes triggering maladaptive coping mechanisms, like eating disorders, self harm, or addiction.
In this series Sandra will explore self care practices focused on enhancing wellbeing and managing anxiety and depression. Youth will explore movement, meditation, games, breathwork, and dialogue for self discovery and inner strength. This series is an opportunity for youth to reconnect with themselves, believe in—and experience—their own resilience, develop supportive skills to self regulate, and build authentic relationships with others. It’s a space for youth to come back to themselves, come away with tools they can use anytime—and have fun in the process.
