Exploring Body Image through Yoga & Mindfulness (August)


In this 4 week series, we’ll create a space for participants to begin to explore sensations in their bodies and connect to their body’s inner wisdom. This group will focus on the yoga principles of balance, non-violence, and acceptance to encourage integration of our whole selves: mind, body and spirit. Participants can expect a small supportive group of women, gentle yoga postures depending on the needs of specific participants, journal activities with optional group sharing, breath practices and meditation. Completely optional use of essential oils and touch during meditation.

4 consecutive Wednesdays starting August 1st. 6:30-7:30pm

This series is led by Sandra Maurer, E-RYT, CD. Sandra has over ten years and 1,000 hours of teaching experience with women of all ages exploring the connections between mental and physical health through yoga. She has multiple additional trainings in Trauma-Informed Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Yoga for Anxiety and experience in working with grief and eating disorders. Her teaching style is focused on creating a comforting space for clients to have their own experience in their bodies and empowering women to trust their embodied wisdom.
